100gm brown sugar
150 gm dates chopped
50gm glace (maraschino) cherries chopped
50 gm sultanas or other dried fruit
250-500 gm of dark chocolate melted (depending how thick you like it!)
Melt butter and brown sugar together. Add the dates and dried fruit and simmer for a few minutes until fruit softens.
Remove from heat; add cherries and cornflakes and stir to mix. Press mixture into a tin and cover with melted chocolate. Refrigerate and cut into squares to serve.
