I don't believe it! The Sun-Herald this morning reports that Philip Ruddock would like to be the UN Commissioner for Refugees (can't find a link - sorry). The former Minister for Immigration, who oversaw the establishment of immigration detention centres both on the Australian mainland and offshore, wouldn't turn down the job if it were offered to him. Philip, maybe you should consider being tested for the early stages of dementia. The lack of insight you show to both your own actions and to the long-term results of them is truly astounding. On your watch Australia was treating refugees in a way that was unparalled in the world.
