Moving out of Granma mode... I have photos but can't upload them here... but I promise your patience will be rewarded.
Now I've been released from the bosom of my family and I'm now in Auckland with old school friends. Lovely comfortable home only a few minutes drive from the airport but not under a flight path. What a well-organised city this is.
While I was in Balmy Palmy (ter-ue - it's hotter there at the moment than it is in Sydney) I had lunch with James and his partner Ian. It was wonderful to hear first-hand of James's adventures Up Over last year, the workshop with Kaffe Fassett and his stay with Joe and Thaddeus and meeting Marilyn, the joy that so cruelly escaped me.
Today I will blob and catch up with the internet. Tomorrow I am going out for the day with Jussi and we will have a fibrey old time. She has promised me a ride on the Devonport Ferry. I don't know Auckland very well so I feel like a tourist in my own country. The next morning I have to be at the airport at 5am and with time changes I will be home in Sydney by 8am.
