Thank you for supporting the auctions M-H. Like you, I want to see my grandchild cured and to help make people more aware of this insidious and often very misunderstood disease.

Rebekah is very lucky that she lives today. Back when my mother was diagnosed with type 1, there was very little info on it. She survived by good diet, good doctors, and being able to get insulin injections back in the 40s. But you're right -- it isn't anything anyone did wrong. And once she gets through the growth spurts (hormones and shifting weight seem to affect things), it should be easier to regulate blood sugar and things. Mom lived to be able to swim, go to college, have kids, and have a happy active life. Best wishes to your granddaughter, and I will look at the auction.
