I don't bake much. Sandra is the baker in our family. I love to cook, but not so much to bake. This may relate to having to bake every single weekend for years to keep the tins filled for a growing family, school lunches, you know. Being home this week, I have enjoyed having the headspace to plan and cook dinner every night:
Monday:left-over corned beef hash
Tuesday: gnocchi with (homemade!) tomato/olive/bacon sauce
Wednesday: oven-baked chicken with salads
Thursday: chicken curry
Tonight, in honour of Thanksgiving, we are having the left-over baked chicken with potato salad and coleslaw (see, I even make 'planovers'). But also, to round off an American-style meal, I baked these enormous peanut butter and choc chip cookies for dessert. If you're one of my workmates start salivating now, because some of these will be coming in with me on Monday.
The links in this post (except for the cookies) are to my own recipes, which are collected here and linked from the heading on the right-hand sidebar. I haven't added any for quite a while, but there are quite a few here. All tried and tested many, many times. You're welcome.
