Oh no! I remember your commiserations with me when I lost a completed snowflakes sock in luxury yarn on Penrith Station some years ago.

I return those with some interest as well on this loss. The shawl was beautiful and I have some understanding how you must feel. I do hope you get it back.

Oh Mary-Helen - how dreadful. I lost a cardigan I'd knitted for my grand-daughter and was furious with myself. The only consoling feature of these losses is that you lose something you've knitted yourself - I think it would be even worse to lose something knitted for you by another person. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it will turn up.

Nooooo!

Like Lyn and Jan I can offer similarity as sympathy. I lost my first ever lace knitting - in multiple colours of KSH, http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Emily/river
then I lost the first iteration of my stripy mitts en route to Sydney Fish Market, hours after completion http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Emily/stripey-mitts

I just kept saying to myself that I really hoped someone cold, in need and who appreciated them found them. And tried not to sob too loudly.

HOpe yours returns to you. It's such a beauty, and so you.

Commiserations! At least you'll know it's yours if anyone was to dare to wear it!!

I'm hoping you'll get it back.

Cheers

I'd be devastated :( I do hope it turns up somewhere. x
