This is my modification of the Baktus Scarf by Strikkelise, and the earlier modification Lacey Baktus Scarf by Terhimon. This version is intended to make a mostly decorative scarf, and you could use a very light yarn - 2ply or cobweb held doubled - to get this effect.
Needles: 5mm (US 8)
Yarn: Any lace-weight. You would need at least 250 metres to make a scarf long enough to drape loosely around your neck once.
Cast on 5 sts.
Set up rows:
1. knit until 1 st left, yo, k1
2. k1, k1tbl, knit to end
3. knit
4. knit
Repeat rows 1-4 once. 7 sts
Lace pattern:
1. knit until 1 st left, yo, k1
2. k1, k1tbl, knit to end
3. k2, *yo, k2tog*, repeat from * until 1 st left, k1
4. Knit
5. knit until 1 st left, yo, k1
6. k1, k1tbl, knit to end
7. K3, *yo, k2tog*, repeat from * until 1 st left, k1
8. knit
Repeat these eight rows
Start the decreases when you have used approximately half the yarn as follows:
1. knit until 3 sts left, k2tog, k1
2. knit
3. k2, *yo, k2tog*, repeat from * until 1 st left, k1
4. Knit
5. knit until 3 sts left, k2tog, k1
6. knit
7. K3, *yo, k2tog*, repeat from * until 1 st left, k1
8. knit
When 7 sts remain, finish as follows:
1. knit until 3 sts left, k2tog, k1
2. knit
3. knit
4. knit
5. knit until 3 sts left, k2tog, k1
6. knit
7. knit
8. Cast off 5 sts,
Love the look of this extra lacey baktus - and I appreciate you suggesting the knitabulous yarn for it too. Looking forward to seeing it in person too.

Thank you so much for posting this, it's a lovely pattern. I'm making it using 4 ply bamboo yarn and it's beautifully drapery xxx
